At MWC 2016 on Wednesday, Zopo has announced two new smartphones under its Speed series. The first one is Zopo Speed 8 which is also the “the first deca-core smartphone in the world” and the second one is Zopo Speed 7C.
If you’re hearing about this company for the first time, then yes, you’ve guessed it right. Its another China-based smartphone manufacturer has its headquarters in Shenzhen. The brand isn’t new to this world, but haven’t found that much success yet.
Let’s start with the specs of Speed 8 first, and then I’ll come at the second one.
Zopo Speed 8 Full Specs
The handset comes with a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC, which is carrying a deca-core processor clocked at 700MHz inside. The processor is aided with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the graphics department is handled by Mali T-880 GPU.
The rear side holds Sony Exmor IMX230 sensor holding a 21MP shooter which is equipped with PDAF, and dual-LED flash. The front side holds an 8MP shooter with a single LED flash. There is a USB Type-C port on board along with the fingerprint scanner which is placed on the rear side.
The display measures 5.5-inch offering full HD resolution. Dual SIM card support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and 4G LTE compatibility are other attraction. Android 6.0 Marshmallow boots the device with the company’s skin fixed atop of it and inside it carries a 3,600mAh battery which sounds reasonably large for the specs and screen size.
March 7 is the date, the company has picked to begin the pre-order of the device which will be available in Black and White colors to pick for the price of $299 only. The price tag converts to 20k INR approx. And, it will begin shipping from April 12.
Zopo Speed 7C Full Specs
Moving to our next handset, we’re looking at a smartphone with 5-inch IPS display with just HD resolution, MediaTek MT6735 SoC with 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, which is also expandable via microSD card.
The rear side holds a 13.2MP shooter with LED flash on board and OmniVision OV13580 sensor, 5P lens, and aperture of f/2.2. It lacks OIS but is capable of recording full HD videos. The front selfie side holds a 5MP shooter which is carrying an aperture of f/2.8 and OmniVision OV5670 sensor.
Underneath, a battery of 2,500mAh is powering the handset. It comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE, OTG, GPS, dual SIM card support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and microUSB 2.0 port. Android 5.1 Lollipop OS is booting the handset, and there are no other details known at this time.
