According to rumors, Xiaomi Mi 6 won’t be launched in India.
A few days back, the Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched officially in China. The whole world witnessed the event via live streaming.
The phone will be available there tomorrow. As gorgeous as the phone was, reports suggest that more than 1.2 million had registered for buying the device via JD(dot)com.
India is a huge market with a massive number of consumers. The company does not launch every product of their’s here. For example, the Mi Notebook and Mi Mix was not launched here.
But, the basic phones and the Mi series always made to the Indian market. Just like there are many markets which can not get hands on of the Xiaomi phones, India might be pushed to the same list.
There is another rumor which says that the company might be launching a high-end smartphone for India and the subcontinent.
Specifications of Xiaomi Mi 6
Mi 6 comes with 5.15-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920pixels. The normal variant weighs 168g while the special Ceramic variant weighs 182g.
Under the hood of Xiaomi Mi 6 is Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The phone runs on an octa-core processor of Snapdragon 835 and 6GB RAM. There is no external card slot for the device but the internal storage is 64GB / 128GB.
Apart from the latest Qualcomm chipset, another big attraction of the device is fingerprint sensor below the glass, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3D curved glass on 4 sides. The curved glass gives an amazing look to the phone.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with dual 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. Some rear camera features are OIS, phase detection auto focus, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. Both the cameras can shoot 4K videos.
Mi 6 will be priced at CYN 2499 or $360 for 64GB variant. For the 128GB variant, the device will be priced at CYN 2899 or $420. A special ceramic back panel variant of internal storage 128GB will also be available. It will be priced at CYN 2999 or $435 .
If Xiaomi Mi 6 is not launched in India, then the customers would not be at a great loss. But, the other manufacturers like Samsung would be hugely benefitted. Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were the first devices to run on Snapdragon 835, Bluetooth 5.0 and has under the screen touch buttons.

Xiaomi not launching Mi 6 in India has not come from an official source. Let’s wait and hope that the official news in very different.
