2017 should be named ‘The Year of Nokia’.
They have already broken many records and made an amazing comeback with Nokia 6 and other phones. Then came the revived Noia 3310 which created quite an impact. The specs, as well as the marketing is done by Nokia, was commendable in this regard.
As it seems, Nokia was just prepping the market for Nokia 9. As per the previous leaks and rumors, we already know that Nokia 9 would be a flagship phone.
The estimated price for the device is ~Rs. 45000 and a very healthy price for challenging flagship phones from the house of Samsung, Apple, LG, etc.
Nokia’s appearance at AnTuTu has revealed a bunch of features. The first being its model number. Nokia 9 is numbered TA-1004.
The device will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and Adreno 540 GPU. The manufacturers had already promised that the phones would receive quick software updates. Looking at the OS of this phone, they are off to a good start.
Other features include Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 4GB RAM. This is quite a deadly duo and will perform wonderfully. The RAM quantity might not seem sufficient for some, but 4GB is enough for multitasking as well as running couple of heavy RAM consuming apps and games simultaneously.
64GB of internal storage is enough for storing app, app data, images, videos and other data. There might be an option of expandable storage, but we don’t know if it would be dedicated or hybrid.
Nokia 9 will come with QHD display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. I’m not really a big fan of AMOLED display cause the pixels get burnt. I’m quite content with the given display.
The camera is another major area where flagship phones (or as a matter of fact any phones) are judged. The device is expected to sport dual rear camera, which is 13MP + 13MP. This was previously backed up a video posted by Nokia on Vimeo.
On the contrary, the specs appearing on other benchmarking sites are slightly different. Do take these inputs with a pinch of salt as these aren’t the official words from Nokia.
