Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 will debut with Google Pixel 2

Google phones have always been quite a big deal. Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 is also a big deal. This chipset is believed to be a great upgrade from Snapdragon 835 chipset from last year.

Snapdragon 836 will have a higher clock speed as compared to Snapdragon 835. Thus, despite having the same CPU and GPU, it is a much powerful device.

From the rumors, it’s evident that Snapdragon 836 will be seen in devices in 2018. Previously, it was rumored that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with this chipset, but there is no solid evidence of the same yet.

As for the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, there are no chances of it appearing before 3rd quarter or later. The screen sizes of the Pixel devices are expected to be 5.99-inch or above. There is supposed to be 3 Pixel phones this year – Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL and Taimen. Previously, there was a rumor of another device codenamed Muskie. It seems canceled for now.

Another expected feature is a curved display. The display might not be as curved as the infinite display of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, but it will definitely be curved. The screen resolution is expected to be 2560 x 1312 pixel.

I’m also expecting the fingerprint sensor under the front panel like it was previously expected in Galaxy Note 8. This is the latest dope tech and I won’t be shocked to see this feature in any of the upcoming Pixel devices.

Other phones that are expected to come with the same chipset is OnePlus 5T, but that is no time sooner that Google Pixel 2.

This is not the official news. Take it with a pinch of salt.
