Gionee announced Gionee X1. Going by the specs and pricing, the device looks like the best one for an average Indian student.
The device is priced at Rs. 8999. It is available in 2 colors – Black and Gold. Gionee has partnered with Airtel and PayTM to help you end up with some delicious offers. For Airtel consumers, you will get 10GB additional data for 6 consecutive recharges. While PayTM users will get 2 PayTM cashback coupon codes with cashback up to Rs. 250 for a purchase of (or above) Rs. 350 from PayTM Mall.
Coming to the specifications of the device, it has a decent 5-inch IPS HD display with 720p resolution. The Gionee X1 will be powered by a quad-core processor ticking at 1.3GHz. The name of the chipset is still unknown.
Gionee X1 will have 2GB RAM along with 16GB internal storage and 256GB external storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box with Amigo 4.0 skin.
The device has a fingerprint sensor on the back panel which does stuff besides locking your device.
In student life, having a good camera is always a bonus! Rest can be taken care of Snapseed or Instagram filters. Gionee X1 comes with 8MP front camera which is claimed to click amazing selfies. The front camera is coupled with true front glass so that you can get some light in dark times of clicking selfies.
The rear camera is also an 8MP camera which supports video recording in Full HD of 1080p. Gionee X1 is a dual SIM device which supports 4g VoLTE. Gionee X1 is powered by 3000mAh battery.
