Huawei is a leading global information and communication technology (ICT) solutions provider. This is a Chinese corporation. Huawei has a smartphone lineup under the name Honor.
Honor has been growing quite well over the past one year. The recently launched Honor 8 Pro has quite efficiently OnePlus 5 in their price segment. The Honor 6X has also been successful in ruling the budget segment when it comes to the camera.
P. Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group told IANS,” Since the skew is heavily in favor of going offline, we are working on strengthening this channel. Given the growing 4G penetration, we are set to serve tier II and II markets and working towards this on a priority basis.”
He also said,” Since Honor is a pan-India brand, our strategy would be two-prolonged: region specific and national. For the former, we plan to leverage festivals like Onam, which is known for its consumer-buying frenzy (in Kerela), to widen our customer base with special promotions and irresistible offer. Similarly, for Durga Puja, we would adopt a focus to tap consumers in the eastern region with schemes especially tailored for that audience.”
The big brands like Samsung and Apple are already ruling the Tier I cities as of now. It was quite smart of Huawei to target the Tier II and III cities where the population is quite huge.
Another company targeted the Tier II and II cities a few days back. The company was Ziox Astra.
Deepak Kabu, CEO, Ziox Mobiles said,” We are overwhelmed with the response to our Astra series. The latest Astra Titan, is another promise Ziox Mobiles, that brings the right value for money with right tools, empowering users with technology. See it to believe it.”
The company has handsomely planned out the distribution of Ziox Astra Titan 4G in the country. They are more keen to spread the device in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. As smart as it is, let’s see how it works out for Ziox Mobiles.
