Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact renders and pricing leaked before official launch

IFA 2017 is not even a week away now. It is a get together of many buyers and sellers across the world. This year IFA 2017 will be held in Berlin, Germany.

Sony is one of the handset makers who is going to launch a device this season. Sony is expected to launch 3 smartphones. One of the devices is Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact.

Roland Quandt, one of the leaksters on Twitter tweeted pictures of Sony Xperia XZ1 some days back on his twitter handle (@rquandt).


The same leakster had also leaked Sony Xperia XZ1 a few days back. Both the devices look quite similar to each other in looks. XZ1 is priced at 599 GBP i.e. ~Rs. 42,900.

The design of Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is quite similar to Sony Xperia XZ1. The former is just thicker and comes with a Matte finish. XZ1 Compact is made up of polycarbonate material.

Sony XZ1 Compact will be available in various colors – Black, Silver, Blue and Pink. The leakster has also quoted a price of 499 GBP which roughly converts to ~Rs. 41,150.

Other specifications of the device include a 4.6-inch display with a screen resolution of 720p. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB RAM. The device is expected to run on 2600mAh battery.

Two such devices that were expected to be launched at IFA 2017 was LG V30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, these phones have already been released. Galaxy Note 8 was launched on August 23rd and LG V30 will be announced on August 31st.

  1. I currently own the Xperia XA1 and overall it’s a decent phone but my only gripe is the small 5-inch screen size. With the XZ1 having an even smaller screen, I don’t think it’s something I’d personally ever consider buying. Sony makes great products don’t get me wrong, but I prefer a little bigger screen is all.
