These Samsung Phones will receive Android O update

Android O was launched on 21st August. There’s not much left to be known about the OS yet. The Developer Previews over the past few months has revealed quite a lot about it.

I have jotted down some main features of the Android O update.

In Picture in Picture feature, you can play a video in an app in a pop-up window and let you continue with the other functionalities of the app. It is the best thing for chat/messenger apps.

Autofill Password

In this feature, you can auto-fill passwords simply by using the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor will lock the device as well as auto-fill the password space. More and more apps will be slowly implementing this feature.

Text Recognization

Enter a phone number, email ID or Geo-location and the OS recognizes it instantly. It’s already there in our Nougat phone, but this feature will be polished to understand the text better.

The way of notifying a user about notification in apps will evolve. Dots on the app icon will indicate new notifications. Long hold on the app icon will show the notifications.
