Samsung Galaxy C8 specs, price and release date revealed

Samsung Galaxy C8 has been in rumors for some time. The device was finally launched in China in an event. The main USP of Samsung Galaxy C8 is a dual camera. Other Samsung phones with dual camera is Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy J7+.

Speaking of the device, Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with 13MP+5MP rear camera set up. These cameras have an aperture of f/1.7 and f/1.9 respectively. It also has LED Flash and FHD video recording. The front camera is a power-packed 16MP selfie camera with LED Flash and aperture of f/1.9.

Samsung Galaxy C8 comes with a unibody design. There is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the Home Button on the front panel. Besides, there is facial recognization feature in the device as well.

Samsung Galaxy C8 Pro comes with 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Under the hood of Samsung Galaxy C8 is an unknown chipset running 2.4GHz (octa-core) and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The handset comes with 2 variants in terms of storage and RAM – 32GB, 3GB and 64GB, 4GB. There is also an additional option of microSD card slot in the device.

In the connectivity front, there is 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, microUSB port and Wi-Fi. Galaxy C8 is powered by 3000mAh battery. The device will be available in Black, Gold and Pink.

There is no news of the device coming to India. We might be seeing it soon, that’s for sure! As per my guess, the device will be priced in the range of ~Rs. 20,000 and ~Rs. 25,000. Although there are cheaper phones with dual camera, it would be nice to get hands-on Galaxy C8 as Samsung is famous for making smartphones with great cameras.
