In a country like India, the majority of the people are on 2G network till now. Probably, there are parts of India which don’t have mobile phone services. Not only has the latest technology not reached the masses, but it is still quite expensive.
Sherif Hanna, the Marketing Lead for LTE and 5G NR Modems at Qualcomm has posted an interesting image on his Twitter account. He tweeted an image by captioning it – Hard to believe that I have the world’s first 5G smartphone in my hand!
Speaking of the device, the phone is a 5G smartphone with a dual rear camera and dual LED Flash. The device will support 2G, 3G, 4G as well. The design of the phone is pretty unusual, so we can’t really say which company is making. I really hope the design of the device is changed cause it does not look much user-friendly.
Qualcomm is also working with different carriers like Verizon and Sprint. So, there is still lots of time before the device reaches us. Qualcomm has said that the users will start using 5G connection by 2019. Although the first prediction was 2020, the company has said that it will arrive earlier.
Even though technology is advancing, first of all, there is hardly any similar advancement in hardware. And, in a country like India, it is tough to make this better technology reach the masses as soon as it should.
