A recent leak from the company’s hometown is suggesting that the next flagship from Xiaomi is going to feature Samsung made screen and dual camera setup on the rear. While the camera setup part wouldn’t be a new thing but an OLED panel is definitely a big change.
Xiaomi Mi 7 Rumours
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 is reported to feature a 6.01-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. These display specifications are getting normal in 2017 and we will see them more often in 2018.
To possess the big screen in a compact frame, the fingerprint scanner has to go behind rather than front facing home button. But, only time will confirm that. As of now, we don’t have a clear image regarding it.
Thanks to Apple, the company is also reportedly working on implementing 3D face technology in its future handsets for additional biometric security option. But I’m not sure if it will be part of Mi 7.
Of course, Xiaomi is not going to be the only brand doing it. Recently launched, OnePlus 5T is also featuring the similar feature but with less hardware and security as compared to the one in iPhone X.
As it will be the flagship, one can expect Snapdragon 845 SoC to run the show underneath the screen.
A paired 6GB of 8GB RAM won’t be a surprise, as we’re talking about a 2018 flagship.
Dual camera setup featuring 16MP lens in each hole is also reported in the recent leak. Although, we don’t have any confirmation of what the second camera will do. Like, a telescope lens or the one with wide aperture to assist the main camera in low-light situations.
The handset should be made of using metal and glass. Metal for offering sturdiness while the glass will assist the wireless charging technology.
Xiaomi Mi 7 Price Leaks
As of now, it is expected to be priced $408 (roughly converted from 2,699 Yuan). In upcoming weeks, a lot of new Xiaomi Mi 7 rumours will surface. Stay tuned!
