While we all are waiting for Redmi Note 5, a new handset has surfaced. It’s currently believed to be named Xiaomi R1 featuring thin bezels and is rumoured to be released next month. Yes, before 2017 ends!
It will be a budget offering and will feature very competitive specifications. Judging from the past, I wouldn’t be surprise to see it doing well on markets like India.
What we know about Xiaomi R1?
If the source is to be believed, R1 will be cheaper than Redmi Note 5, which is already suppose to rock an affordable price tag.
A single camera on the front, USB Type-C connector at the bottom and a stretched up display is what we can see in the picture surfaced. Edges are rounded and aspect ratio is definitely looking 18:9.
On-screen buttons is to be part of the system. Unfortunately, 3.5mm headphone jack doesn’t seem to be part of the package but I hope it is onboard.
In the specifications department, nothing is leaked for now but if the handset is real and is supposed to release next month, then we will be seeing a lot more leaks in coming weeks. Needless to say, we’ll keep you updated of everything.
So, this all information is making it very much a 2017 smartphone and with an affordable price tag, it can do wonders for Xiaomi in 2018.
Talking about the Redmi Note 5, which is very much in clear picture for now. It is expected to powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC featuring octa-core CPU coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
5.99-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio is what you can expect. 4,000mAh battery and 12MP snapper at the rear is what we know in the battery and camera department, respectively.
Both these phones in question here, will be running on MIUI9, the newly launched OS version. Underneath, Android Nougat will be there for sure.
What do you think if Xiaomi R1 is real? Yay or Nay?
