The next entry-level affordable E series smartphones from Motorola are due and today we have a confirmed specification, thanks to the FCC listing of the devices.

Yes, there will be two new smartphones, Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus and they both will be having bigger batteries.

Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus Battery

As per the leaked FCC listing, the only detail one can make out is of the battery size. Unlike two different battery sizes in Plus and non-plus models, both the models will be having same battery size this year.

Both Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus will be having 4,000mAh battery, which looks decently large.

The XT1922-4 and XT1922-5 are the model numbers for the two handsets in question here. The last generation E series handset had 2,800mAh and 5,000mAh batteries.

Both will be following the similar design language as of current Motorola family devices. The back side having a big ring, possessing the camera and LED flash unit along with a dimpled Moto logo.

The same rear mounted dimpled branding might feature fingerprint scanner instead of the front side, which hints towards smaller bezels than E4 family.

While the front side will have chunky bezels, with the top one carrying selfie camera and sensors and bottom carrying nothing but the Moto branding.

So this is all we know for now. April 3rd is the expected launch date of Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus. Till then, a lot of rumours will be making to the mill and as usual, we will keep you posted.

Stay tuned.
