Galaxy A series of Samsung is about to get new members i.e. Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018). These phones were spotted at a benchmark site a few days back and the recent certification by Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG indicates that these devices are nearing official launch.
As per the listing, Samsung Galaxy A6 and Samsung Galaxy A6+ are rumored to be powered by Exynos 7870 and Snapdragon 625. Since A6+ will be powered by Snapdragon 625, it is expected to perform better than the Exynos chipset in A6. The Exynos chip may perform similarly to that of Qualcomm’s iff they have optimized it.
These devices will run on Bluetooth 4.2, instead of the expected Bluetooth 5. Galaxy A6 was spotted with 3GB RAM while Galaxy A6+ with 4GB RAM. As far as the Android OS is concerned, the device is expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
There is still no news about when the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ are going live because Samsung is working on a bunch of devices this year. These devices include Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J8+ which is expected to hit the market before Galaxy Note 9.
Although we hardly know much about Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, the certifications do suggest that these devices are going to hit the market shoot. Just like Samsung’s other devices, get ready to see specs of the devices leaked before the launch. Feel free to share your views on the same in the comments below.
