A sneak peak into the new Google Smart Glasses

Google Glass is one of Google’s not-so-successful projects. It opened up new ventures for many companies by creating a groundwork for smart glasses. Being the first one to venture into the smart glass, it is expected that Google will be the leading one even with multiple companies joining the league.

Apparently, Google is working on the next series of the smart glass. One of the many companies which is also rumored to be working on the smart glass is Apple.

As of today, anything (and everything) has to be visually appealing to the user as much as it’s functionalities are. One of the reasons why the first-gen smart glass didn’t get as much exposure as it could have is because of the look. As you can see in the image above, the look of the glass in the next-gen Google glass has changed.

According to a patent filed by Google, the wiring in these Google glasses will be well hidden in the glass. The plan is to hide the ugly wirings in the frame of the glass by molding. The other elements of the glass will be hidden in the arms i.e. side-pods. You can also see two round objects attached to the glass. It is expected that these would be the earpiece which will fit into user’s ears. There will also be LED lights or lasers along the insides of the glass.

That’s all we know about the upcoming Google Smart Glass. There are speculations that the glass will also have Wi-Fi and USB support.

As exciting as these news leaks are, make sure you take them with a pinch of salt.
