Nokia X receives certification from CCC ahead of launch

Nokia X is the Android smartphone with which Nokia made their comeback in 2014. The next smartphone of the X generation i.e. Nokia X (2018) is now in the news. It’s rumored that Nokis X (2018) has received certification from CCC (Chinese Compulsory Certification).

Nokia X (2014) will be an entry-level device and will be available in two codenames – TA1109 and TA-1099. Being priced in the affordable pricing section, they will not support fast charging and will come with 10W charger with 5V/2A charging rate.

Under the hood of Nokia X (2014) would be either Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset or MediaTek chipset. The leaked images of Nokia X (2018) so far has shown two smartphones crossed which made an ‘X’ sign. The images also revealed that the devices would come with a 2.5D curved display as well as a curved metal back panel which are curved at the edges.

The concept videos of the device have also flaunted a similar glass back. The controversial notch will be seen at the usual top of the screen and a full-screen design language.

Other rumored specs of Nokia X (2018) are a fingerprint sensor, dual Zeiss camera, USB Type C port and 3.5mm jack slot.

All the specs mentioned above should be taken with a pinch of salt since they aren’t from an official source. However, now that the device has received certification, we might see more of the device in the upcoming days.
