Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 AI powered SoC

The world’s leading smartphone SoC manufacturer have always taken advance lead in this industry and is now proceeding in the same direction. The new members in SD700 series will be powered by built-in AI tech.

Artificial Intelligence is definitely going to be a lead feature in future smartphones and Qualcomm including it at the cheap level is going to help the manufacturers to make even better smartphones equipped with better AI technology.

Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager, mobile, Qualcomm Technologies said during the announcement, “The Snapdragon 700 Mobile Platform Series will bring premium tier technologies and features into more affordable devices, something our global OEM customers and consumers are demanding. From our cutting-edge Qualcomm AI Engine to superior camera, device performance and power, the Snapdragon 700 Series is optimized to support the experiences consumers have come to expect from the most advanced mobile devices at a lower price point.”

Snapdragon 710 Incoming!

Other than AI inclusion, Qualcomm confirms upgraded processor, better memory management and better battery performance. It will be coupled with ultra-fast LTE (read 5G) modems.

AI involvement is expected to get deeper in the camera modules than elsewhere. We have to wait for first handset to arrive which will provide a better description of all these new features.

Qualcomm didn’t mention name of the upcoming SoC but a leakster took it to Twitter, leaking Snapdragon 710’s presence in the lineup. When asked for the details on SoC, he clarified that no other details are available as of now.

Whether it comes to be true or not, for now I recommend you to take it as a pinch of salt.
