ZUK Mobile mentioned in a post at Weibo about their upcoming smartphone with an almost bezel-less display. The device will have the screen-to-body ratio as 95%. A render of the device was posted on Weibo which supports the statement.
What’s even more interesting about the device is, the device comes without the notch. The notch as seen in iPhone X for the first time comes in the way of enjoying a full-screen experience. If ZUK Mobile is able to get rid of the notch, they can not only attract a lot of eyeballs but also buyers!
The absence of the notch is also a clear indication how ZUK achieved 95% screen-to-body ratio.
In the above image, you can see 14 and 6. The internet community guesses that’s the date of the launch i.e. 14th June. After Lenovo shifted their focus to Motorola, this company had almost shut down. This makes this bezel-less device the first one this year (and after a long time).
Besides the display, AndroidHeadlines reports that the device will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4GB RAM and run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. There will be a fingerprint sensor, but it’s not yet.
The fingerprint sensor would be placed on the rear panel otherwise it will mess up with the 95% screen-to-body ratio of the device. Or even better, if ZUK Mobiles makes an under the glass fingerprint sensor. That would be cool! Won’t it?
