Vivo Nex and Vivo Nex S launched with Pop-Up Selfie

Vivo launched Vivo NEX and Vivo Nex S at an event held in Shanghai. The device USPs are a bezel-less design and pop-up selfie camera. The device is based on a Vivo device which paid a visit to MWC 2018 which came with similar bezel-less display and pop-up front camera.

The Vivo Nex S comes with a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Vivo Nex A also comes with a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset powered by 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage for smooth multi-tasking.

For the operating system, these devices will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 skin. As modern as this device is, it comes with a 3.5mm headphone slot. The device weighs 199gm and measure 7.98mm in thickness.

Both Vivo Nex and Vivo Nex S comes with a dual rear camera 12MP + 12MP rear sensors with Vivo’s AI recognition tools. On the front side is an 8MP pop-up selfie camera for clicking selfies and video calls.

The devices will come with Vivo’s AI assistant Jovi. Jovi can be activated through a dedicated button. Nex will come with a fingerprint sensor on the back panel while Nex S will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The newly launched Vivo phones would be premium priced and will go on sale from 23rd June. The Vivo Nex is priced at RMB 3,898 (~Rs. 41,050) for 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage while Vivo Nex S is priced at RMB 4,498 (~Rs. 47,500) for 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Vivo Nex S is also available for RMB 4,998 (~Rs. 52,700) for 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
