Android will soon receive a major Android version update. The upcoming Android is the Android 9 i.e. Android Pie version. Another version of Android Pie will also hit the devices soon – Android Pie (Go Edition).
According to Google’s blog post on the same, the biggest noticeable benefit a user gets from Android Pie (Go Edition) is the additional storage i.e. Android Pie (Go Edition) frees up 500MB i.e. 1/2 GB storage as compared to the previous Android Oreo (Go Edition).
Besides the additional storage, Android Pie (Go Edition) users will also see a faster boot time, better security features and a new dashboard for tracking and monitoring data usage (similar to the one available in full Android version).
Google has also announced that you will get to see the new Android Pie (Go Edition) this fall. This means that low-end devices running on Android Pie (Go Edition) will receive the update sooner than your high-end phone.
