Infinix Mobiles targets selling 2lakh smartphones every month

Infinix or Infinix Mobiles are known for launching budget smartphones in India. Infinix said in a statement that it expects to be among the top five players in the online segment in the next one year.

After launching Infinix Smart2 in India, Infinix India CEO Anish Kapoor said,”TranssionĀ Holdings (parent firm of the company) is just 2 years old in the country. Now, we are looking Infinix alone to be among the top 5 players in the online segment.”

He also said,”Earlier, we were not focussing on volume sale. Now, we are looking to sell 2 lakh units of Infinix every month online. We will keep bringing new features available in phones of the higher price range in below Rs. 10,000 devices. Tofy, with Smart 2, we have introduced dual VoLTE sim slot for Rs. 5,999 so that customer in this segment can leverage the benefits of 4G network expansion.”

The Infinix Smart 2 comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 2GB / 3GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB internal storage, up to 128GB external storage, MTK6739 64 quad-core processor and dual VoLTE support. One key spec that you get in this price bracket is the Face Unlock feature.

The device is available at Flipkart with No Cost EMI from Rs. 2,000 and exchange up to Rs. 5,500.

Transsion has three brands operating under their name – itel, Tecno and Infinix. According to Counterpoint Research, Transsion has emerged as the fifth largest player in the Indian mobile phone industry in the first quarter by grabbing 4% market share this year.
