Is there an Apple Car set to release in 2020?
Nobody should be sure about it until Tim Cook announces Apple Car at Steve Jobs theatre. But that doesn’t stop us from starting a discussion about it because Apple Car does exist.
Apple has been working on it since 2016, the year Project Titan initiated. They had about 1,000 employees dedicated to the project which later increased to 5,000.
Apple never refused or accepted the development of an Apple Car but the CEO, Tim Cook, did confirm its presence. He did not say anything about an actual vehicle, but he confirmed that Apple is working on “autonomous system” that will guide the smart car concept.
So, what exactly we know about Apple Car 2020? Let’s have a look at it, technically.
Apple Car 2020 – Project Titan
If there was an Apple Car 2020 then we would have seen it already. We live in a world of leaks and a company like Apple is not safe from it. Even with all its “secrecy” methods.
Last year released iPhone models were all leaked over the internet, leaving a very few details to be unveiled by Tim Cook and the team. We even knew about the presence of the third and an affordable iPhone model (XR).
Apple does a great job in keeping most of its projects secret but it’s the supply chain partners where things go beyond their control. Hence, we get to know about upcoming devices before they are actually announced.
As far as Apple is concerned, it’s more of a Software and Design company and has so far kept a distance with the hardware development.
All of its products are designed and coded by Apple engineers while the manufacturing is handled by partners like TSMC, Samsung, LG, and a few other in China and Asian countries.
It will be tedious work for such a company to actually get into manufacturing a car. My point here is, if Apple Car 2020 was a reality, we should have seen pictures and videos of its hardware parts leaking from supply chain sources.
But did you see anything yet?
So, Apple Car 2020 is not clearly not going to happen. Just in case, if it does happen, this project will be executed with a supreme level of secrecy.

The only thing we know as of now is that this is named Project Titan and the company have been adding ex-employees from Tesla and other automobile brands to the team.
Apple Car Release Date
What you just learn is that the Apple Car release date is set around 2025 or 2023. It is clearly not happening in this decade.
Keeping the release date to 2025 will be too far as the Tesla and even the traditional automobile manufacturers have been really making a mark in the autonomous car driving vehicles.
My bet for Apple car release date is on 2023 or maybe a year before it, i.e., 2022.
Anything before it sounds an impossible ground to be made (to me). Surprise me Apple!
Apple Car Specs
Even when Apple releases an affordable iPhone, the technical specs it carries are of a premium range. The cost-cutting is done on the body side, or the display and camera but the internal hardware are either top-notch or a generation old.
My point is, if Apple Car is real, it’s going to compete with the top-notch Tesla models which are already giving traditional premium cars a tough competition.
Apple likes to work with people who are willing to pay a premium price for their products, giving them the required money to put in years of research and R&D.
Also, Apple’s marketing materials have been putting serious focus on the environment. All their new products are using recycled materials on some level, making their stand clear about the increasing threat to the Mother Earth.
This simply reveals one key feature of Apple Car which is, it’s going to be all Electric.
As Tesla already successfully did electric cars, it won’t be that hard for Apple to come up with the real-life vehicles on this model.

Expect the Apple Car specs to deliver an all-time high performance that will allow the vehicle to do 0-100 in less than 10 seconds of time frame.
Apple Car Design
While most of the tech-nerds focus on the hardware and the autonomous software of such a car, end users will be focusing on the Apple Car design.
Out of all the features, the iPhone is sold because of its design aesthetics and the way it looks. It’s more of a fashion accessory and Apple Car design is going to follow the same trend.
Thanks to Tesla, we’ve somewhat seen how a car will look if it was designed by Apple. Sleek design with clean lines and aesthetics is how it will look.
You can have a look at a few of the design concepts available on the internet. In my opinion, either it will look somewhat similar or Apple might come up with a completely new design which will be tagged now as futuristic.
For a fact, they already have patents for the futuristic sunroof and intelligent seats.
Over to You
It’s not that hard to see Apple Car releasing in future as we all know Apple is definitely working on it. Even with all of its secrecy nature, we have had a bunch of news confirming the presence of an Apple Car.
What do you think?
Watch this space for new development as they get uncovered.
