State owned, BSNL has offered a brand new unlimited data and unlimited voice plan for its customers, which is an upgraded version of an existing plan. You must have heard of STV 1099 plan, as the same is getting upgraded under the new scheme.
BSNL Unlimited Data and Voice Plan
The earlier STV 1099 plan was offering similar features but for lesser duration. Earlier it was valid for just 30 days while the new upgraded STV 1099 plan is valid for 84 days.
Taking a close look at this 84 number, the customers are offered about three months of validity, if each month had 28 days. The 1099 INR plan cost is inclusive of GST as well.
As you can expect, the unlimited data comes with a FUP limit of 3GB 3G data per day. Once the daily limit of 3GB is exhausted, the high speed will come down to 80kbps. It is further bundled with 100 texts per day in both home and roaming network.
Unlimited free outgoing and roaming calls are also part of the STV 1099 package.
Comparing this plan with what Airtel and Jio are offering, BSNL is way ahead both in terms of data and validity. Similar data limit and voice benefits come at a cost of not less than 500 INR with a validity of just 28 days. Comparatively, you’re getting 28 additional days as prime benefit with BSNL.

As a BSNL user myself, I really appreciate officials launching this new BSNL prepaid plan. The network is really good in sub-urban areas and if you live in an area with 3G cellular reception, this plan can help you save a lot.
