When it comes to the Internet, being a 90’s kid, it’s the best thing that has happened to me. Unfortunately, all the good things come at a cost. On one hand the cost of Wi-Fi is comparatively cheap, but the cost of mobile data is increasing at an alarming rate.
If you are just like me who keeps all downloads and updates to Wi-Fi only, then this post is definitely for you.
Previously, Google had modified Play Store a lot to save data in the user end. Now, Google is developing an Android App that will save data from users.
The app is named Google Triangle. Google Triangle will be an interface for users to manage and block unwanted usage of mobile data. Keeping a log book of all data will help users like you and me to keep and track of (save) data.
Google said, “Triangle is a new app being tried out in the Philippines that helps you better manage your data and block unwanted background data.”
Like many other apps at Google Play Store, the beta version of the app has been released in Philippines.
This is not the first time Google has made an attempt to save their users from huge phone bills. If you use Chrome browser in your phone, you must be well acquainted with ‘Data Saver’ in Google Chrome.
All that we know of this app is from discussions held at online forum. The company is yet to make an official statement about it. Till then take everything with a grain of salt.
From whatever information that has been gathered about Triangle, it’s pretty sure that they have summed up what a smartphone could do at different corners and brought them to you via a common outlet. Let’s wait till the official (or beta) release to see what else the app holds for us.
