Samsung Galaxy A series is Samsung’s mid-range series that’s been around for some time now. According to a new trademark filed by Samsung in South Korea and the European Union, Samsung is redoing the way they name their A series. The upcoming Samsung smartphones are named Samsung Galaxy A10, A30, A50, A70 and A90.
This also provides a hint to the fact how Samsung’s upcoming S and Note series would be named. As you might be aware, Samsung has already reached the last single digit (Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9) of its premium phones.
According to the filing, the Samsung A10, A30, A50, A70 and A90 names will be used for naming smartphones, mobile telephones and tablet computers. In fact, Samsung has filed to trademark Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 names in South Korea.
The nomenclature is said to be inspired by Huawei’s naming convention of naming their devices in multiples of 10.
In a nutshell, Samsung will be naming their upcoming smartphones in multiples of 10. There might be a possibility that Galaxy A6 and Galaxy a8 will be renamed and Samsung Galaxy S11 will be renamed as Galaxy S20.
How does that sound?
