Samsung Galaxy S8 Active (Model Number : SM-G892A) has made it to Geekbench now.
The device was first confirmed 2 months back. However, last month there was news that the device has been cleared by Wi-Fi Alliance.
The increase in the number of leaks has hinted us of an official phone launch.
This listing on Geekbench proves that there will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset on board with 4GB RAM. The device will run on Android 7 out of the box.
Lucky for people like me, the phone is rumored to have a rugged body. This will help it to withstand extremes of weather conditions.
Galaxy S8 Active is also considered to be the toughest variant of S8. Nonetheless, it will be made to go through US Military drop certifications and will be dust as well as water resistant. Due to which, the Infinite display of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will also be ditched in this device.
There is no news about the device reaching India cause all we know is the fact that it will be AT&T exclusive. This is pretty evident from the model name of the device which has ‘A’ at the end.
The phone will come with a 5.8-inch display with bezels. The battery of the phone will be 3500mAh battery. It will support Qi Wireless Charging as it has been certified by Wireless Power Consortium.
Rest of the specs will be repeated from S8 and S8 Plus.
We are guessing we will see the device sometime soon. There is no news from Samsung about the launch dates yet.
