When dual cameras are in vogue, can Xiaomi not be in vogue.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro did not do well in the market. So there is a rumor that Xiaomi has decided to do away with this series and start a new series (dubbed as Xiaomi X). The first device would be named Xiaomi X1.
But you know how rumors can be flipped 180-degree by one statement from the company. So it’s suggested that you take this news with a pinch of salt.
As for Xiaomi X1, there are a couple of things that are known as of now. Unlike most devices (and Xiaomi’s as well) where a different variant of a particular brand focusses only on storage and RAM capacity, the variants of X1 will also have varied displays.
One of the variants of Xiaomi X1 will sport a 5.5-inch (full screen design) Pegasus display. The screen resolution will be 2160 x 1080 pixels. The other display would be Full HD display.
Both the handsets will be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset. The cheaper model would be carrying 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage while the pricier model will have 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
This device would also sport a fingerprint sensor on the front side and 3.5mm jack slot. The Pegasus display device would be priced at 2499 Yuan (~Rs. 24,000) or 2799Yuan (~Rs.26,700).
In other news, there is a rumor of Xiaomi Mi 6 global launch. There is no solid proof of the launch, but I would really love to get hands-on of the device.
It is also believed that Xiaomi would be revealing a bunch of devices this month. The first one is Xiaomi X1. Besides Xiaomi X1, it would unveil Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus and MUIU 9 ROM.
