A word of caution: the word HIVE used here is nothing to do with the gangster group in Arrow TV season.
Xolo has updated its smartphone lineup with a fresh entry, which isn’t a completely new platform, rather, an upgraded version of the existing smartphone. The device released is Xolo Black, named again, and it now features 3GB of RAM and is priced 11,999 INR.
The upgrade is at the RAM amount, which earlier marked at 2GB, in the device released back in July 2015. Other specifications read a 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD resolution, 403ppi of pixel density, oleophobic coating, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Snapdragon 615 SoC with an octa-core processor, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, Adreno 405 GPU, and 16GB of internal storage.
It goes on further with expandable storage supporting up to 32GB, and a dual-camera setup at the rear side, featuring one 13MP shooter and another 2MP shooter. There is an LED flash in between the camera setup and Xolo calls it ChromaFlash which focuses on bringing natural-looking shots. The front side holds a 5MP shooter.
LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB port with OTG support are all intact in the device. The word HIVE used above is what Xolo calls it’s custom UI developed over the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, and this is what handles the software side of the device.
At this time, Xolo Black new 3GB RAM variant is exclusive to Snapdeal and that too with a Flash Sale tag, first of which will happen on December 29. Rest of the features and design builds are all kept the same.
