Yesterday, Xolo has launched a brand new smartphone which will be sold exclusively via Amazon (India) in the country. The all-new Xolo Era X is carrying a price tag of 5,777INR and will be supporting dual SIM cards, both capable of working on a 4G cellular network.
The handset in question here comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box and company is promising to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the near future. Underneath, Spreadtrum SC9830A SoC is added with 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and Mali 400MP2 GPU.
The storage expansion option is available with support for microSD card up to 32GB. 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, microUSB 2.0 port, and Bluetooth are the connectivity options onboard. The display measures 5-inch and uses IPS panel and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It offers HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi with 178-degree wide viewing angles.
The sensors like ambient light, accelerometer, and proximity are onboard and the handset weighs 140grams with battery. The dimension reads at 145.5 x 72 x 8.45mm. Inside, a 2,500mAh battery is added with a claim of over 10 hours of talk time over a 3G cellular network. For the record, the battery is removable.
The company has confirmed that the handset will arrive equipped with regional languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Punjabi. It will be available only in Black color option.
Now, for the price Xolo has mentioned, the handset does look impressive on paper. If you haven’t heard of Spreadtrum chipsets yet, then this isn’t the first smartphone to ship with it. The handset does look impressive in that black profile, which always has been a part of Xolo smartphones.
