Hence, the screen resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels and has 264 PPI.
Another important feature of the screen is that it’s not laminated. This step has been taken to cut down the price of the device. The screen is not upgraded from the previous iPads.
On the other hand, replacing a non-laminated screen is much more economical.
The new iPad also misses out on the anti-reflective coating. Hence, you have to turn up the brightness in such cases. This will drain the battery for sure.
The speakers used in iPad 2017 are stereo speakers. Because Apple knew the main usage of this iPad is for entertainment purpose. The stereo speakers act a bonus when viewing videos or playing games.
Users have also claimed that speaker used in the new iPad is almost similar to that of the other iPads. It will be difficult to distinguish them.
Apple iPad 2017 runs on iOS v10.3.
The chipset used is Apple A9 which is a dual-core processor running at 1.84 GHz and used PowerVR GT7600 graphics card. It has 2 GB RAM.
When compared to the benchmark performance of the previous iPads, iPad 9.7 inch is 2410 (single-core) and 4095 (multi-core). Whereas, iPad Air 2 scored 1782 (single-core) and 3992 (multi-core).
The device is equipped with 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera. The rear camera can shoot videos at 1080p resolution, whereas the front camera can shoot video at 720p resolution.
The cameras aren’t great, but they will serve the need when arises. For example, the front camera isn’t great. But it is sufficient for Face Timing with other Apple users.
The idea of keeping the storage 32 GB | 128 GB is a great idea. 32 GB is okay to start off as 16 GB is very less in such a comparison. However, if you still fall short of storage you can use cloud storage options.
Besides, you can also opt for the 128 GB variant if you want everything in your reach and don’t want to rely on cloud storages.
Wireless connectivity is ruled by Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and cellular network. The cellular network is used via single nano SIM that supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
Apart from these, there is Bluetooth v4.2, A-GPS (cellular) and USB v2.0, reversible connector. Users have claimed that the Wi-Fi in this device yields almost doubles the speed as compared to other devices.
The device now supports Band 12, which means it will give better connectivity on T-Mobile than iPad Air 2.
Apple iPad 2017 comes with non-removable Li-Ion battery of 8827 mAh capacity. Apple claims the battery to last for 10 hours.
If so, then you can clear a various level in a game or have a movie marathon without having to plug your device.
As mentioned in the bullet points, the price is Rs. 28,000. Note that this price is quoted on the official Apple website. There will be 4 variants respectively i.e. Apple iPad ( Wi-Fi + 32 GB),Apple iPad (Cellular + 32 GB),Apple iPad (Wi-Fi + 128 GB) and Apple iPad (Wi-Fi + 128 GB). The above-mentioned price is for the first model.
